Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. seeks a skilled Veterinarian for its Vetco Total Care hospital. You will provide comprehensive veterinary care, perform surgeries, and manage dental procedures while coordinating with staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The role requires a DVM, active license, DEA and USDA credentials as applicable, and a compassionate, team-focused attitude. Signing bonus and relocation assistance are available to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA-accredited school.
• Active veterinary licensure in the state of practice with ability to start.
• Current DEA license and Controlled Substances license as applicable.
• USDA accreditation or ability to obtain within two months.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care with exams, diagnoses, and preventive care.
• Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including spays/neuters and mass removals.
• Lead dental procedures and develop treatments for day hospital patients.
• Document patient observations and treatment plans clearly in the medical record.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to optimize patient care and client communication.
