Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Valet Attendant with a positive attitude and excellent customer service to manage patient and guest parking in a hospital setting. You will assist guests with in/out of vehicles and with wheelchairs, while prioritizing safety and compassion.

In emergencies, the role may shift to security and you will complete required reports. A high school diploma and a valid operator's license with clean record are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Operators License with a clean criminal and motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Handle parking needs for patients, visitors, physicians and volunteers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Assist guests in and out of vehicles and with assistive devices, including wheelchairs.
• Ensure safety of patients, visitors and employees in valet area; respond to difficult service issues.
• In disaster or threat to the hospital, role may convert to security; perform required reports legibly and timely.
• Report vandalism or accidents involving valet parked vehicles.
• Enforce smoking prohibition at valet service area and direct guests to smoking areas.
