Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Hospital Transporter to efficiently move patients, medical records, mail, and specimens throughout the facility in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on safe handoffs, punctual service, and clear communication with departments to support daily operations.

Responsibilities include transporting inpatients and outpatients, delivering equipment and specimens via pneumatic tube, and acting as a helpful hospital ambassador for patients and visitors.

Formación

• Customer service experience is required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate with internal and external teams.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Responsabilidades

• Transports inpatients and outpatients within the facility from start location to destination.
• Delivers equipment, materials, and specimens to requesting department, including use of the pneumatic tube system.
• Serves as a hospital ambassador, providing information and directions to patients and visitors.
• Keeps transportation equipment clean and in good working order.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
