Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).
• H.S. Diploma/GED (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher using safety measures appropriate for patient and vehicle.
• Use proper body mechanics when transferring patient during ambulation and bed – chair transfers.
• Use Safe Patient Handling equipment (e.g., Hovermat, Hoverjack) when needed.
• Transport patients for internal tests and discharge to exit.
• Communicate patient and unit information to RN and care team promptly.
• Verify patient ID, introduce self, explain procedures to patient and family.
• Maintain hallways clear of unused equipment and participate as a team member.
• Promote quality patient care and support organizational programs.
