Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Telecommunications Operator to expedite telephone, radio, pager and public address communications across the hospital, including emergency announcements, in line with the Emergency Preparedness Manual.

You will contact on-call teams, coordinate language interpretation, troubleshoot issues, monitor alarms, and document shift activities per site policies.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve caller problems and requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and prioritize all internal and external calls promptly and courteously.
• Coordinate language and sign language interpretation requests by callers.
• Monitor alarms and security systems; respond to codes and incidents per policy.
• Record shift occurrences and document per site policies.
• Organize and update hospital directory and assist with department communications as needed.
