Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati seeks a Telecommunications Operator to expedite telephone, radio, pager and PA communications across the hospital, including emergency announcements under the Emergency Preparedness Manual.

You will contact on-call teams, document calls, monitor alarms, and support language interpretation requests while maintaining patient information privacy and updating the hospital directory as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or hospital operations is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer and prioritize internal and external calls.
• Coordinate on-call teams and document calls.
• Monitor alarms and respond to security/disaster codes.
• Assist with hospital directory updates and equipment orders.
• Organize language interpretation requests as needed.
