Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications).
• Background check including fingerprinting will be completed.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing on safety-sensitive positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service; sign in all visitors per visitation policy.
• Operate a centralized, multi-line phone system; answer, transfer calls and log messages.
• Maintain current listing of employees and telephone extensions.
• Dispatch security via radio base station; maintain radio communication log.
• Monitor hospital-wide panic button system and fire, amber, and high-water alarms.
• Take emergency calls (medical, safety teams, fire) and coordinate with emergency personnel.
• Complete forms and documents for security as directed by manager.
• Update patient directory in HIPAA-compliant manner.
