Job summary

River Oaks Hospital, part of the UHS family, seeks a Staffing Coordinator to manage daily nursing staffing and collaborate with nursing leadership in New Orleans. The role covers PTO processing and coverage for absences, with responsibility for accurate timekeeping in UKG.

Ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and at least two years in hospital staffing/scheduling across all shifts. Occasional overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a hospital with staffing/scheduling responsibilities for all shifts for clinical and nursing personnel, managing staff schedules and time/attendance tracking.
• May be required to work occasional overtime, weekends and/or flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• The Staffing Coordinator will provide effective daily staffing for the nursing department and review assignments with nursing management.
• Assist with processing PTO requests and ensuring coverage for employees taking PTO to include processing calls-ins/absences to ensures coverage.
• Assists in correcting/editing staff time in UKG system.
