Job summary

Saint Mary’s Hospital is a Catholic, not-for-profit, community teaching hospital serving Waterbury, CT and surrounding communities since 1909. You will monitor and optimize drug therapy, provide patient care across ages, consult with physicians and nurses, supervise technicians, and dispense medications accurately.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Pharmacy, PharmD preferred.
• Connecticut pharmacist license.
• Hospital experience and/or Residency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals through their proper storage, handling, evaluation, preparation, compounding, labeling and dispensing
• Maintain proper records, documentation and provide complete communication as appropriate
• Follow department guidelines with regard to clinical interventions and provides drug information as required and/or requested
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and maintain efficient workflow of the area they are working in

Education

B.S. degree in Pharmacy, PharmD preferred

Connecticut pharmacist license

Hospital experience and/or Residency preferred
