Qualifications

  • Active SLP license in Texas required.
  • CCC-SLP from ASHA or SLP-CF eligibility considered case-by-case.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct communication assessments and provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in acute and medically complex settings.
  • Provide cognitive-communication therapy targeting attention, memory, executive function, and problem-solving in patients with neurological conditions.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safe swallowing, communication strategies, and AAC use to support functional outcomes.
  • Treat patients across ICU and Inpatient Rehab addressing feeding, swallowing, congenital, critical-care and other communication needs.
  • Enhance quality of life and safety by supporting safe oral intake, restoring communication, and promoting cognitive-linguistic recovery.
