Forefront Healthcare is seeking a team-oriented Sous Chef to support our dietary team in Columbus, GA. The role emphasizes leadership with kitchen staff and adherence to nutrition guidelines for patient meals.

You will coordinate food preparation, plan cooking schedules, prepare and portion meals, and collaborate with Dining Management on special events and menus. Flexibility to work days, evenings, some weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Strong food/culinary background with proven leadership.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and diet orders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare kitchen.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate food preparation and meal service.
• Plan and initiate a cooking schedule for food preparation to meet the meal schedule.
• Prepare, season, cook, and serve for assigned meal; ensure proper portions.
• Prepare snacks for patients as directed by the Dietary Manager.
• Collaborate with Dining Management on special events and menus.
• Monitor food temperatures to meet safety goals during service.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify the Dietary Manager of needs and report equipment issues.
• Supervise dietary staff in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
