Job summary

Memorial Blood Centers in Minnesota is seeking a Driver to transport blood products to Twin Cities hospital partners and blood drives. This full-time role requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, with at least two years of driving experience.

Second Shift: 1pm–9:30pm, with shift differential. The job includes maintaining records, coordinating with departments, and providing excellent customer service to internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 2 Years driving experience including highway and residential.
• Good communication skills both oral and written; teamwork.
• Ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supports and promotes Memorial Blood Centers' practices to ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Ensures correct and timely packaging of blood components and supplies for transport. Provides timely delivery and pick-up as directed by Hospital Services and other departments within the blood center, as schedule permits.
• Demonstrates understanding and compliance with established policies and procedures; adheres to safety policies and procedures.
• Promotes teamwork and communication; maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
• Participates in continuing education and competency testing; attends staff meetings.
• Maintains vehicles, supplies and required forms and reports; records miles driven daily.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary:Responsible for the delivery and pick-up of blood components from Memorial Blood Centers' service hospitals and any blood drives or centers. May assist other departments with deliveries that need to be made.

Second Shift: Monday - Friday 1pm - 9:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

1. Supports and promotes Memorial Blood Centers' practices to ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.2. Ensures correct and timely packaging of blood components and supplies for transport. Provides timely delivery and pick-up as directed by Hospital Services and other departments within the blood center, as schedule permits.3. Demonstrates complete understanding and complies with established policies and procedures relating to assigned tasks; adheres to safety policies and procedures.4. Promotes teamwork and communication internally and externally. Maintains a professional attitude and appearance. Demonstrates dependability, punctuality and cooperation.5. Participates in continuing education training. Attends staff meetings and completes competency testing on time.6. Maintains vehicles, supplies and required forms and reports.Responsible for maintaining records of all miles driven on a given day/shift.7. Other duties as assigned.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.06/hr. (2nd shift will include shift differential)
