Job summary

Hchcares Hospital is seeking a vigilant security officer to protect patients, staff, and visitors. Under general supervision, you will patrol the facility, assist wheelchair patients, and help people in and out of their vehicles.

This role requires Indiana arrest powers, a current firearms license, and ongoing law enforcement training. Weekend shifts (6 PM–6 AM) with occasional holidays, competitive pay, and benefits including health, vision, dental, and a pension.

Qualifications

• Must have current arrest powers for the State of Indiana and current license to carry firearms and be able to maintain these qualifications.
• Must take annual law enforcement training to maintain certifications.

Responsibilities

• Works under general supervision in maintaining a safe and secure environment in and around the Hospital.
• Performs duties ranging from daily clock patrols to assisting wheelchair patients and visitors in and out of their vehicles.
• Guards also responsible for answering calls for assistance from various departments within the Hospital, as well as from the general public.
