Job summary

McLaren Health Care in Flint, MI is seeking a Security Officer for the evening shift (2:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.), a full-time role focused on protecting patients, staff and visitors while maintaining a safe campus environment.

You will patrol facilities, respond to emergencies, document incidents, enforce security policies, and coordinate with hospital departments. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid Michigan driver’s license, and the ability to handle confidential information

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license and insurability under hospital insurance are required.

Responsibilities

• Make rounds inside and outside assigned areas and investigate unusual or suspicious incidents.
• Assist security personnel, hospital staff, and escort visitors as needed.
• Observe and document policy non-conformances and ensure proper badges and safety procedures.
• Complete all required paperwork timely.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Respond to calls from hospital departments and assist with disorderly individuals and emergencies.
• Participate in emergency drills and follow established standards of performance.
