Qualifications

• Valid Illinois driver’s license (ILSOS).
• FOID card within 6 months – Illinois State Police (ISP).
• CPI training within 3 months.
• BLS certification within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA).
• TASER certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs security patrols of the hospital, garage and perimeter.
• Recognizes conditions compromising security and mitigates them.
• Reports/corrects safety violations observed during patrols.
• Mitigates thefts, disturbances and other incidents promptly.
• Checks visitor/team badges and passes for proper identification.
• Notifies supervisor of security/safety issues promptly.
• Follows post orders for all fixed and patrol positions.
• Submit work orders for safety/security violations found during patrols.
• Responds to emergencies with appropriate actions and timing.
• Preserves evidence and crime scenes per departmental policies.

Skills
