Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Hospital Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff and to safeguard hospital assets. The role involves patrolling the hospital grounds and perimeter, identifying security risks, and responding to emergencies with sound judgment.

Qualifications

• Licenses/certifications required or in progress within specified timeframes.
• Ability to monitor and respond to security incidents in a hospital environment.
• Proven ability to de-escalate disruptive behavior and maintain composure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct productive security patrols of the hospital, garage and perimeter.
• Identify conditions that threaten security and take immediate mitigation actions.
• Report and correct safety and security violations observed during patrols.
