Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated security professional to protect patients, visitors and staff across hospital grounds and facilities in Urbana, IL. You will perform patrols, enforce post orders and respond promptly to emergencies while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor.

Ideal candidates hold an Illinois driver’s license and FOID, complete CPI and BLS trainings, and are prepared to escalate incidents, preserve scenes and document findings accurately for investigations.

Qualifications

• Requires Illinois Driver's License (ILSOS).
• FOID card must be obtained within 6 months.
• CPI training within 3 months.
• BLS training within 30 days.
• TASER certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs productive security patrols of hospital, garage and perimeter.
• Recognizes and mitigates potential security risks.
• Reports and corrects safety/security violations.
• Proactively mitigates thefts and disturbances.
• Checks visitor and staff badges.
• Notifies supervisor of security concerns.
• Follows post orders for all positions.
• Submits work orders to fix violations.
• Responds to emergency calls for service.
• Preserves evidence and crime scenes per policy.
