Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 2 years in general security or public safety preferred.
• Driver's license valid in-state and compliant with Piedmont's Vehicle Safety Program.
• IAHSS Security Officer certification within 1 year required.
• Pre-employment psychological screening required.
• Must complete and maintain training including TASER, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and related certifications.
• Georgia POST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen for and interdict weapons entering a facility.
• Maintain security of the hospital, professional buildings and parking areas.
• De-escalate critical events with sound judgment and apply appropriate restraints.
• Document incidents and conduct initial incident investigations.
• Monitor at‑risk patients and respond to aggressive behavior.
