Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff. You will patrol facilities and grounds, respond to incidents, and document activities in logs and reports in accordance with policy.

The role requires a GA driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED, with a minimum of two years in security, and training in de‑escalation and weapons safety. This is a on‑site hospital security position with a focus on safety and incident response.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Valid GA Driver's License required.
• Minimum two years in military, police, corrections or private security.

Responsibilities

• Make routine and random tours of facility and grounds with patrol techniques.
• Initiate investigations and report findings daily to supervisor.
• Participate in training drills and document completion per policy/regulations.
• Respond to security incidents, assist with crowd control and safety.
• Maintain logs, observe CCTV, and follow hospital policies during duties.
