Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff. You will perform patrols, respond to incidents, conduct investigations and assist with safety procedures across hospital facilities.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid GA driver's license, and current BLS certification or obtain within 30 days. Prior security experience is preferred and ongoing training is required.

Qualifications

• Must work well with others and follow directions from supervisors and senior officers.
• Ability to learn and perform basic security procedures.

• Interact with different age groups and maintain legible written reports.
• Proficiency in basic computer use and reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Make routine and random tours of facility and grounds and report findings.
• Initiate investigations and report outcomes to supervisor.
• Participate in training drills and document completions.
• Respond to incidents, unlock/lock doors, and provide safety escorts.
• De-escalate confrontations and maintain professional conduct at all times.
