Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking a security professional to provide safe, secure environment for patients, staff and visitors. Responsibilities include patrolling buildings, ensuring doors/alarms are secure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining custody of deceased property as required.

Role requires high school diploma with security experience preferred, navigation of hospital operations, and clear communication via walkie-talkie with the security center.

Qualifications

• High School Education or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred.
• Experience in security or military police preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular patrols of buildings and grounds, checks doors, windows, alarms and extinguishers.
• Patrols employee parking lot for safety of departing staff.
• Documents activity in the security log.
• Responds to emergencies including Code Red, Code Grey, Code Yellow, Code Blue.
