Job summary

Elliot Health System is seeking personnel for its Elliot Security Department to provide a safe and secure environment across all facilities. The role involves patrolling buildings and grounds, monitoring doors and alarms, and ensuring proper handling of emergencies and access requests.

The position supports transportation of deceased individuals when required and maintains chain-of-custody records. Candidates should have a high school diploma and related security experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education/experience: High School Education or equivalent required. Post-secondary education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts regular scheduled patrols of buildings and grounds, checking doors, windows, alarms and firefighting equipment.
• Patrols employee parking lot to ensure safety of departing employees.
• Documents all activity in the Security Log.
• Responds to emergency situations including Code Red, Code Grey, Code Yellow, and Code Blue.
• Assists authorized employees and physicians requiring access to certain building areas.
• Maintains radio communication with hospital Communications Center and other security officers.
