Job summary

Bristol Health is looking for Security Officers to join our Security team at the Bristol Main Campus, Bristol, CT 06010. The Security Officer will play a proactive role in ensuring safety for patients, staff and visitors and will notify Security Leadership as well as Nursing Supervisor when appropriate.

Responsibilities include monitoring cameras, patrolling facilities, controlling access, and coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year in security or law enforcement preferred (healthcare not required).
• Must have strong communication and observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Evaluate threats and respond to emergencies with proper procedures.
• Document safety events in Bristol Health's Incident Reporting System.
• Monitor security cameras and conduct periodic patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Control visitor access and issue badges.
• Assist with communications and dispatching.
