Job summary

Bristol Health is seeking a Security Officer to join the Security team at the Bristol, CT campus. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors and involves proactive threat assessment and escalation when needed.

The officer will monitor cameras, conduct tours, process visitor access, and assist with communications and dispatching. Requires a high school diploma and CT security certification or ability to obtain within 90 days, plus First Aid/CPR-AED and CPI

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in security or law enforcement, healthcare preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Connecticut certification as a Licensed Security Officer or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• First Aid, CPR-AED and CPI certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
• Evaluate threats and respond to emergencies with appropriate notifications.
• Document safety and security events.
• Monitor campus cameras and conduct tours of buildings, grounds and parking areas.
• Process visitor badges and manage access control.
