SJMHS-West Market within Trinity Health is seeking a Security Police Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Under supervision of Chief of Security Police, you will perform patrols, respond to emergencies, write reports, and enforce policies and law.

Requirements include high school diploma, 1 year security/police experience preferred, ability to pass psychological evaluation, MCOLES license preferred or ability to pass Academy within six months, and a valid

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year security/police or related experience preferred.
• Must pass psychological evaluation.
• Current MCOLES license preferred or ability to pass MCOLES PA330 Academy Training within six months of hire date or the first available academy.
• Maintain the qualifications required by MCOLES and the State of Michigan.
• Maintain a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver's license.
• Demonstrates the ability to operate an Electronic Control Device and related use-of-force policies.

Responsabilités

• Represents the Health System by assisting patients, staff, and visitors.
• Patrols grounds, buildings, and parking areas to ensure policy compliance and safety.
• Responds to emergencies and reports incidents; may detain/arrest within policy and law.
• Completes daily activity and incident reports for management.
