Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for a hospital environment in Kendall, FL. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor CCTV, control access, and assist with deterring misconduct to protect patients and staff.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license if driving, and 2+ years in customer service or protective services. Training covers de-escalation, reporting, and safety procedures; a drug screen may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Licensing requirements are state/local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Minimum of two years of verifiable employment history in customer service or protective service.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or higher if required by state.
• Able to operate radio/telephone equipment and console monitors.
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle and document observations.
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of situations and restrain combative individuals as necessary.
• Transport patients to the morgue, as needed.
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room.
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department as required.
• Monitor entrances and exits and ensure only authorized individuals enter.
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft and ensure proper property removal.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents and incidents; maintain logs.
