Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional - Unarmed for a hospital environment on Johns Island, SC. The role involves unarmed patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring, and detailed reporting to help deter security incidents.

Candidates must have at least 1+ years of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. TB tests and vaccinations may be required; a taser certification may be needed in some cases.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws/regulations
• Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable employment history in customer service or protective service
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations quickly
• Ability to mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of hospital grounds on foot or in vehicle; document observations
• Assist hospital staff with de-escalation of patient situations
• Restrain combative individuals as necessary (within guidelines)
• Transport patients to the morgue when needed
• Escort patients from helicopter pad to the emergency room
• Assist with evacuations during emergencies and disasters
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department when needed
• Monitor entrances and exits; ensure only authorized entry
• Observe departing personnel to prevent theft
• Investigate and report accidents or incidents with written logs
