Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Patrol Officer to safeguard our Springfield, IL hospital campuses during night shifts. The role performs foot and mobile patrols, maintains comprehensive reports, and engages with patients, families, and staff while upholding safety standards.

Requires a high school diploma or GED; an associate degree in law enforcement, criminal justice, or military service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in law enforcement, criminal justice or military service preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• OC Certification within first 90 days preferred, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols of hospital premises.
• Maintain detailed security reports and records.
• Interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
• Manage assigned security equipment and patrol vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure operational safety.
