Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Hospital Security Officer for Allegheny Health Network Hospital in Natrona Heights. The role is full-time with a 5:00 AM to 1:00 PM shift and up to 40 hours per week, weekends included.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include prior work experience involving dealing with customers, troubleshooting, and/or managing stressful situations.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles; background check and drug screen required.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must obtain Management of Aggressive Behavior certification after offer.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and staff to expedite entry to the facility.
• Respond calmly to incidents such as fire, medical emergencies, or threats.
