Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• 1–3 years' Military, Law Enforcement or Security background preferred.
• Healthcare security experience desired.
• Must successfully pass an extensive background investigation.
• BLS required.
• Must maintain current certification for MOAB, handcuff, baton and CS spray.
• Must complete Basic Level Certification through IAHSS within 1 year of hire.
• PRN, As needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrols hospital buildings and grounds; provides escorts for employees and visitors.
• Responds to emergency calls and assists in restraining aggressive patients as needed.
• Monitors camera systems, fire systems, alarms and emergency calls.
• Assists with dispatching officers across multiple locations.
• Enforces no smoking policy and maintains confidentiality.
• Coordinates with law enforcement at facilities as needed.
• Works 24/7 with varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
