Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso is seeking a Security Officer (Level I) to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors. Under direct supervision, you will perform security duties and uphold hospital safety protocols while collaborating with other departments to ensure a secure environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, CPR certification, and the ability to work rotating, part-time shifts. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR Certification; or obtained within 6 months of hire.
• IHSS Basic Security course within six months of employment.
• CPI in-service course within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• The Security Officer (Level I) performs security duties under direct supervision with clearly defined guidelines to support Hospital Security.
• Provides a safe and secure environment to prevent theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Coordinates all security activities with a primary focus on internal and external customer service.
