Job summary

University Medical Center of El Paso, UMCSH Security (Surgical Hospital), is seeking a Security Specialist to perform security duties under minimal supervision, ensuring a safe environment and preventing theft, vandalism, and unauthorized entry. You will coordinate with hospital staff and respond to incidents while maintaining a courteous, service-oriented approach to internal and external customers.

The role requires 3 years of security experience, no disqualifying convictions, and current CPR

Qualifications

• Three years of work related experience in a security setting required.
• Must have no felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions.
• Current CPR Certification; or obtain within 6 months hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must complete Hospital’s in-service CPI within 3 months; IHSS Basic Security within six months.

The Security Specialist performs proficiently security duties under minimal supervision; problem solving responsibilities and works under established guidelines in support of Hospital Security by providing a safe and secure environment to prevent theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Coordinates all activities with a primary focus on Customer Service to both the internal and external Customers
