Penn Medicine is seeking a Security Officer I to safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and assets at the Philadelphia campus. The role involves patrolling hospital buildings and grounds, monitoring for safety concerns, and responding to alarms and security incidents to maintain a secure healthcare environment.

After ACT 235 and de-escalation training, officers respond to suspicious activity, assist with volatile situations, and support a safe, patient-centered setting.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• ACT 235 Certification within six months of hire is required.
• BLS certification within six months of hire is required.
• CPI or HWC De-escalation Training within six months of hire is required.

Responsabilidades

• Patrol hospital buildings, grounds and assigned areas to maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Participate in daily shift briefings to stay informed of security incidents and operational updates.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and security documentation.
• Respond to emergency situations, suspicious activity and requests for security assistance.
• De-escalate disruptive situations and ensure safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
• Investigate and document security incidents and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, parking facilities and traffic flow for safety concerns.

Educación

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Driver's License

ACT 235 Certification within six months of hire

BLS certification within six months of hire

CPI or HWC De-escalation Training within six months of hire
