Job summary

Torrance Memorial Medical Center is seeking a Security Officer I to support safe patient care. Under the Security Shift Supervisor, you will patrol the hospital campus, assist visitors, and respond to emergencies and incidents.

Responsibilities include monitoring parking areas, producing clear written reports, providing escorts, enforcing parking rules, and supporting law enforcement when needed. A CA Guard Card and PC832 within one year are required.

Qualifications

• Core security competencies demonstrated on site, including communication and patrol duties.
• Ability to observe and report conditions accurately.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and incidents quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide patrols to deter crime and protect patients, staff and visitors.
• Assist visitors with directions and information.
• Respond to emergency codes and incidents as required.
• Prepare legible, accurate incident and shift reports.
• Provide escorts to patients, visitors and staff as needed.
• Enforce parking policies and manage traffic in key areas.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and hospital personnel as necessary.
