Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. This role protects patients, staff, and visitors while delivering friendly, professional service. Shifts include Morning, Afternoon and Overnight with up to 24 hours per week and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law; criminal histories considered per regulations.
• Drug screen required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Observe and remain vigilant for signs of crime, disorder, hazard or unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals verbally and physically as needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen members, visitors, and employees to expedite admission.
• Respond to emergencies with calm urgency and coordinate appropriate actions.
• May assist with patient escort or transport of the deceased to the morgue.
