Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Hospital Security Officer at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. The role involves protecting patients, staff and visitors, patrolling the premises and responding to incidents in a healthcare setting. Training is provided, and shifts are available across mornings, afternoons and overnights.

Qualifications

• Minimum customer-service experience and ability to handle stressful situations.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Background check required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
• Post-offer training and Management of Aggressive Behavior certification required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and stay vigilant for crime, hazards, and unusual activity.
• Patrol on foot, bike, or vehicle to check for unsafe conditions and security violations.
• De-escalate individuals both verbally and physically when needed.
• Inspect security devices and fire control equipment.
• Screen visitors to expedite admittance to the facility.
• Respond to incidents (fire, medical, bomb threat, weather) with calm urgency.
• Escort patients as required and assist with safety needs.
