Job summary

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care in Sellersburg, IN is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time 40-hour work week, 7:00 am–7:00 pm, with a 2-on/2-off schedule and every-other weekend. The role provides a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff, enforcing hospital regulations and patrolling Baptist property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year minimum experience in military, security, law enforcement, healthcare, or IAHSS certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• BLS certification from approved BLS course required, will provide training.

Responsibilities

• Enforces Hospital regulations and maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees through monitoring and patrolling.
• Investigates complaints or potential criminal conduct; assists in restraining patients as necessary; provides protective services.
• Reports potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences to supervisory personnel in a timely manner.
