Job summary

Allied Universal® in Seneca, SC is hiring a Security Officer Hospital Access to protect patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. This unarmed role emphasizes customer service, safety, and a welcoming environment while patrolling and monitoring access points.

You will respond to incidents per site protocols, complete routine patrols, and coordinate with emergency responders as needed. A valid driver's license is required where this job is located.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and the protection of restricted areas in accordance with site policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
