Job summary

Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough, NH is seeking a Security Officer to join our full-time second shift team. You will monitor hospital premises, respond to incidents, enforce security protocols, and collaborate with departments to ensure patient, visitor, and staff safety.

Main duties include patrolling, reporting incidents, and liaising with local authorities as needed. A valid NH driver’s license, CPR certification within 90 days, and Basic Training Certification are required, with

Qualifications

• Three years hospital security work experience required.
• Previous law enforcement experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Guards hospital property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.
• Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confers with management, interviews guests and employees, and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents.
• Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
• Examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure.
• Obtains assistance for accident victims and writes accident reports.
• Assists management and enforcement officers in emergency situations
• Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
