Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security Officer to help keep staff and patients safe and the hospital secure. You will handle lockdowns, respond to incidents, and ensure protection of people and property.

You will join an experienced security team at Basingstoke and Winchester hospitals, working 12-hour shifts in a 4 on 4 off pattern that covers days, nights, weekends and bank holidays. Shift allowances and weekend rates apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide a point of contact for advice on security matters and promote pro-security culture.
• Attend security incidents and take measures to protect staff and patients.
• Complete incident reports and follow up on police and court actions.
• Report crime to the police.
• Manage car park issues and issue warning notices.
• Support Portering at night.
