Qualifications

• Related Associates Degree OR 4 years related experience
• BLS is required upon hire, crisis intervention is required within six months of hire. Instructor certifications as detailed by department requirements

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise comprehensive security efforts to protect patients, associates, visitors, hospital buildings, assets, and premises
• Schedule and supervise security response drills, reporting on their outcomes
• Coordinate development and implementation of hospital-wide safety programs
• Manage overall Security function across hospital and locations
• Direct daily security functions and allocate staffing levels to meet facility demands
• Serve as primary instructor for new hires and ongoing security training
• Coach and develop staff and assist leadership in policy development
• Maintain proficiency in CCTV, visual monitoring, and electronic alarm systems
• Serve as site liaison with local, state, and federal authorities
• Oversee asset management and vehicle safety
