Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Police Officer to provide law enforcement, security, loss prevention and customer service across the hospital system. You will patrol campuses by vehicle, bike or on foot, respond to emergencies, conduct investigations, and enforce applicable laws and hospital policies while supporting nurses and patients.

This role requires staying current with regulations, completing thorough reports, and delivering a visible safety presence to deter threats.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• 2 years of experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Peace Officer (LPO) within 90 days of hire.
• Driver's License (TX) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas in vehicle, by bicycle, and on foot to detect and deter crime.
• Apprehends subjects committing crimes.
• Responds to emergency calls, safety escorts, and calls for assistance.
• Produces complete, accurate, and concise reports.
• Enforces state laws, policies, procedures, and hospital mission.
• Transports documents and valuable items as needed.
• Stays current with regulations and attends training.
