Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking a Security Resource Specialist to be the first contact for visitors at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. You will verify IDs, issue adhesive passes, and guide visitors to appropriate areas while maintaining professional courtesy and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include monitoring access to secure and non-secure zones, reporting policy or law violations, and providing information to guests and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Background in customer services and/or reception.
• Experience in security or law enforcement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as a first contact for visitors entering Northeast Georgia Medical Center or assigned NGHS facility at an assigned post.
• Identifies and documents visitors through forms of photographic state identification cards (i.e.; drivers licenses).
• Ensures that visitors are issued adhesive passes and direct visitors to affix the pass on their outermost garment.
• Direct visitors to locations within NGMC and allows access into secure and non-secure areas as appropriate.
• Acts as surveillance and observer/reporter within high traffic areas; reports violations of criminal law, NGHS policies, or any breach of security within their assigned post to the Security Supervisor.
• Serves as a customer service professional; answers information inquiries and provides direction in accordance with NGHS Core Values.
• Maintains a highly professional attitude (verbally and physically) and exhibits the ability to engage in professional interaction with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Answers incoming telephone calls to assigned department (Braselton location).
• Assist with organizing and filing patient charts (Braselton location).
