Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks an Armed Security Officer to protect patients, visitors and staff. You will conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and document actions per policy, with required de-escalation and weapons training.

The role requires a GA driver’s license, BLS certification, high school diploma or GED, and 2+ years security experience in a healthcare or similar setting. Training and annual drills are provided.

Qualifications

• GA Driver's License required and BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of security experience in military, police, corrections or private security.

Responsibilities

• Make routine and random patrols of facility and grounds and report findings.
• Initiate investigations on security or risk management incidents and report to supervisor.
• Participate in training drills and document completions per policy.
• Respond to incidents, de-escalate confrontations, and provide back-up to staff.
• Assist with door access, safety escorts, and general public assistance.
