Recently recognized as one of Forbes’ World’s Best Employers and named to Fast Company magazine's list of Most Innovative Companies, Labcorp is seeking to hire a Hospital Director who will focus on new sales and relationships for our Hospital and Health Systems segment covering IN, IL, OH, KY, WI, MI, WV, and parts of MO, PA. The position will be critical to helping drive our continued success and growth across the hospital and health system segment.

The Sales Director for our Hospital and Health Systems segment will serve as the primary contact for hospital business in the North Central Division for Labcorp. Responsibilities include managing both business development and account management reps across the division. The Hospital Director will develop relationships with key accounts and decision-makers to represent Labcorp Hospital testing interests. They will generate new business opportunities within hospital reference laboratories in collaboration with Integrated Oncology to drive growth in the North Central region.

This position is field-based.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
  2. Lead a team of experienced hospital sales reps and account managers to drive growth in our hospital and health system segment.
  3. Collaborate with divisional Sales VP and regional VP/GM to create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that meet business objectives and promote market growth.
  4. Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, including negotiating and closing major contracts.
  5. Increase year-over-year divisional revenue and operating income for the hospital business.
  6. Use data to forecast sales accurately and set appropriate performance goals.
  7. Conduct market research and analyze results to refine sales and marketing strategies for maximum success.
  8. Represent Labcorp with a comprehensive understanding of our offerings.
  9. Drive organizational culture, develop talent, and deliver results.
  10. Research industry and segment trends to identify customer needs for targeted strategies.
  11. Hire, train, motivate, and advise a team of sales representatives.
  12. Continuously develop leadership, hiring, and training skills, ensuring effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
Requirements:
  1. BS/BA degree from an accredited university; Business/Finance preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years' sales or account management experience in a hospital setting or supporting hospital/lab functions, or equivalent leadership experience within hospital or health system laboratories.
  3. At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  4. Experience with large health system contracting processes.
  5. Well-developed relationships with key decision-makers and thorough understanding of assigned accounts.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales tools.
  7. Demonstrated leadership skills in building high-performing sales teams.
  8. Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory.
  9. Candidate must reside within IN, IL, OH, KY, WI, MI, WV, MO, or PA; preferred locations include Itasca, IL; Cleveland, OH; Dublin, OH; Indianapolis, IN; or Louisville, KY.

Application Window: Open through 5/8/25

Pay Range: $160,000–$200,000 plus variable compensation based on performance.

All offers are based on skills, experience, applicable degrees/certifications, and internal and market considerations. The position is eligible for bonuses and commissions based on performance metrics.
