Job summary

Community First Medical Center seeks a Safety and Security Officer to help maintain a safe environment for employees, patients and visitors and to protect hospital assets. On occasion, Officers may be assigned supervisory duties as Officer in Charge (O.I.C.).

The position is full-time with a 10:30am - 7am on-call rotation. New grads are welcome to apply, with benefits supporting staff in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Healthcare environment experience preferred.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• 1. Makes rounds, inside and outside of assigned areas as scheduled.
• 2. Provides assistance to other security personnel, hospital employees, and escorts visitors.
• 3. Observes and documents the non-conformance of policies and procedures.
• 4. Accurately completes all paperwork as required.
• 5. Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential information.
• 6. Responds to calls from nursing and other hospital departments in a timely manner.
• 7. Transports patients in wheelchairs or those using assistive devices.
• 8. Accepts and releases patient's valuables and lost and found items (per policy) as needed.
• 9. Responds to requests for additional manpower to cover shift shortages.
