Job summary

St. Anthony North Hospital is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the Environment of Care, Emergency Management, and Security programs. You will advise hospital leadership, ensure compliance with JCAHO/TJC, OSHA, and NFPA standards, and coordinate with security vendors on site.

The role requires demonstrated safety leadership in a healthcare setting, with a strong knowledge of federal, state, and local safety codes, and the ability to conduct risk assessments and lead policy development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/environmental safety or related field is required.
• Five (5) years of safety experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety and health codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, facilitate, and advise hospital leadership and staff on safety and security of the facility.
• Conduct an annual comprehensive risk assessment and program review for EC, EM, and Security; present reports to EC Committee, leadership, and Board.
• Develop and maintain EC, EM, and Security policies and procedures; coordinate compliance and performance improvement activities.
• Serve as hospital chairperson of EC/Safety Committee and oversee related subcommittees.
• Conduct safety inspections (weekly) to identify risks and facilitate solutions.
• Report results of safety inspections to the EC/Safety Committee and identify trends.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Fire Science, or related discipline
