Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Retail Pharmacy Technician 2 to promote meds to bed services and improve discharge workflows to join the team. This role will be full-time Monday – Friday, occasional weekends and holidays. Every other weekend .

Qualificações

• One year experience as a pharmacy technician.
• High School or GED.
• Virginia Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy intern license; BLS within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assists the Pharmacist in reviewing, processing, preparing, filling, labeling and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Cleans equipment and maintains temperature logs according to system policies and procedures.
• Checks medication and administration supply inventory for out-of-date products, removes products from inventory and records them in the Expiring Medication logbook.
• Performs computer entry of prescription information including patient/prescriber search, drug selection, prescription interpretation/entry, insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
• Prepares medications for clients through mixing medications, counting pills, and labeling bottles.
