Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is seeking a Full-time Field Service Representative to support hospitals across Michigan with critical medical waste services. This is a physically active role requiring lifting and frequent movement.

You'll work with hospital staff to exchange waste containers, inspect and service units, and maintain inventory, using a company smartphone to report issues and coordinate with the team.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs.
• Willing to travel throughout Illinois and work flexible hours.
• COVID-19 vaccination required due to hospital access.
• Experience in a labor-intensive or logistics role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with hospital staff to ensure safe and timely medical waste container exchanges and proper segregation.
• Inspecting and servicing Daniels Health containers in clinical areas—enter procedural spaces and work around sensitive equipment and patients.
• Lifting containers up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling carts up to 300 lbs throughout the day.
• Maintaining inventory of containers and ensuring all areas are stocked and organized.
• Using a company-provided smartphone to manage tasks, report issues, and communicate with your team.
• Keeping staging areas clean and orderly before and after service.
• Representing Daniels Health with professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
• Physically active role; comfortable with heavy lifting and active on-the-go work.
• Team player but able to work independently without direct supervision.
• Strong attention to detail—paperwork and procedures.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel.
• Proposed schedule of M-F 5:30am-1:00pm.
