Qualifications

• Understanding of third-party payor rules and regulations.
• Able to read UB04 forms.
• Able to read and understand an EOB.
• Can verify benefits via online portal or phone.
• Understand payor contracts and verify insurance payments.
• Identify next steps when a claim is denied.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Contact carriers to follow up on unpaid facility claims in a timely and accurate manner.
• Submit account corrections and adjustments; manage denials and appeals when required.
• Identify trends with management and address root causes of AR issues.
• Collaborate with other teams; maintain clear documentation of accounts.
